Directions to Bradford Island, CA

Directions from Oakley, California at Highway #4 and Cypress Road. Proceed out Cypress Road (turn left if coming from Oakley - right if coming from Brentwood) towards Bethel Island to the first flashing yellow light at a small Valero convenience store / gas station on the right to purchase a ferry ticket; and then continue to the second flashing yellow light at Jersey Island Road and take a left approx: 2.1 miles in total from Hwy #4. Continue through a fork in the road while merging left and cross a small bridge over Dutch Slough to the first paved road on your right approx: 2.9 miles. You will be on a winding levee road that will lead you to the ferry slip approx: 3.5 miles. Park on the left side of the road to get on the ferry. When you get off the ferry on Bradford Island, you may go either left or right on the levee road because the road is private and goes completely around the island. The USS Lucid is approx 3.5 miles in either direction and you can't miss it, it's the place with the big minesweeper parked out front in the water.
